LOGIFARMA REINFORCES COMMITMENT TO OWN DISTRIBUTION WITH THE OPENING OF PLATFORMS IN COIMBRA AND FARO
Last July, Logifarma extended its distribution solution with the opening of two new logistics platforms: in Coimbra and Faro. The new warehouses operate in cross-docking system, allowing the company to offer its clients a delivery solution with temperature controlled [2-8° C and 15-25° C], capable of responding to the needs of the pharmaceutical industry, in particular to recent European guidelines.
The logifarma total operation began in February this year based in the main warehouse in Sintra and with a support platform in Porto.
With the 4 platforms in operation, Logifarma strengthens its commitment to own distribution model, which in August represented 95% of deliveries carried out in national territory.
Daily distribution of Logifarma team is present in over three hundred delivery points, such as warehouses, hospitals, pharmacies or other links in the chain of pharmaceutical distribution.
The bet on own fleet is followed by an integrated network of information systems that enable real-time monitoring the status of orders, as well as access to the temperature records during transport, allowing full and permanent control of the process.
