LOGIFARMA STARTS THE PRODUCTION OF PHOTOVOLTAIC ENERGY IN JULY, FOR A BETTER WORLD

The bet on renewable energy must be a priority of all economic agents to ensure the energy sustainability and a cleaner environment, by reducing emissions of CO2 from the combustion of fossil fuels.

Aware of this reality and this collective obligation, Logifarma decided to invest in the production of Photovoltaic Energy.

Photovoltaic solar energy is a way to generate electricity by converting solar radiation, a form of clean energy, renewable and environmentally friendly.

With an investment of approximately 300.000 euros, this process had its beginning in June 2014, by obtaining the production rate. In December 2014, after a rigorous selection among market players, Logifarma has awarded the implementation of the project to the Ikaros Hemera.

In April 2015, after 4 months after the placing of panels and the installation was complete, the work was completed, complying strictly with the agreed deadlines. Then followed the licensing phase competent authorities, it took about two months. In July 2015, 12 months after its inception, the project was completed.

The project payback is estimated at eight years and the equipment has an estimated life span of 25 years, with low maintenance costs, when compared with other energy sources.

This investment will increase the bet in sustainable energy and reducing CO2 emissions, which had other examples in recent history of the company, such as the replacement of LED lighting lamps, water heating with solar thermal systems, and use Smart & Cold boxes, fully reusable and environmentally friendly.
